Haliburton Pastoral Charge churches remain closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Please join us online.
Sundays at 10:30 a.m.: Online service. Access opens 15 minutes early to give viewers time to tune in. Visit the HPC website Watch Online page for details, or go to the channel directly through YouTube or by clicking the “Online Services” button on the Home page.
Virtual Sunday School: During the COVID-19 pandemic, we’re offering a virtual Sunday School program that will encourage kids in their faith. Materials are emailed to parents, grandparents or caregivers weekly and then we feature submitted photos of the children and their artwork during Sunday services. If you’re interested in participating, visit the Virtual Sunday School page.
Mondays and Wednesdays from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.: The Alzheimer Society’s Minds in Motion program, which operated at Haliburton UC before the pandemic, is moving online via Zoom. It’s designed for those with any form of memory loss and their care partners to enjoy guided physical activity, mental stimulation and the chance to create new friendships with others living with similar experiences. All are welcome to join in the fun; there is no diagnosis needed. For details and to register call Jennifer Stubbert at 705-748-5131 or email Jennifer.
Tuesdays from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m.: Scripture Study. This independent study group currently meets using the Haliburton UC Zoom feed. Participants pray with the reading for the day. There is no homework or preparation of the Sunday lectionary reading. It is an opportunity to dig deeper into the Bible, learning and sharing tools of Scripture study. Participants can attend as often as they like. To receive the meeting link, please email Jean Schicklin Tyler.
Wednesdays from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.: Women to Women Bible Study. *NOTE NEW TIME* Based through Haliburton UC, participants share their lives and concerns, pray together and study the Word using a simple study method. Currently meetings are held via Zoom. There’s no need to be on screen or to participate in discussions, and there is no homework. New participants are welcome. For more information email Lisa.
