Sunday, January 31: Annual Meeting via Zoom for Haliburton UC at 1:30 p.m. Participants can join via computer, tablet or phone. Zoom info and the meeting documents will be emailed. A draft of a new Mission Statement for the church was adopted by Session at its December 3 meeting, and will go to the congregation for approval at the annual meeting. Virtual Sunday School: During the COVID-19 pandemic, we’re offering a virtual Sunday School program that will encourage kids in their faith. Materials are emailed to parents, grandparents or caregivers weekly and then we feature submitted photos of the children and their artwork during Sunday services. Tuesdays from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m.: Scripture Study. This independent study group currently meets using the Haliburton UC Zoom feed. Participants pray with the reading for the day. There is no homework or preparation of the Sunday lectionary reading.  It is an opportunity to dig deeper into the Bible, learning and sharing tools of Scripture study. Wednesdays from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m.: Women to Women Bible Study. Based at Haliburton UC, participants share their lives and concerns, pray together and study the Word using a simple study method. Currently meetings are held via Zoom. There’s no need to be on screen or to participate in discussions, and there is no homework. New participants are welcome. For more information email Lisa.

Haliburton UC’s monthly mission for January is SIRCH. If you’d like to donate to this mission, please do so by cheque or electronic funds transfer (EFT) to the church with Monthly Mission marked on your offering envelope or in the EFT “Message” box.
