The Highlands Male Chorus, under the direction of Melissa Stephens, presents “Winter Interlude” at Haliburton UC today February 9, 2020 at 3:00 pm. General Admission: Adults $15.; Children (under 16) $5; Family $35. Tickets available at Cranberry Cottage, Haliburton and Pharmasave Drugstore, Minden. 

Pastoral Charge Congregational Annual Meeting followed by the Official Board Meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 18 at Haliburton at 2:00 pm.  Business conducted at this meeting will include Financial Statement and Budget, report from the Nominating Committee regarding Official Board positions and other business of the Pastoral Charge.  Everyone is encouraged to attend.

Men’s breakfast and time of fellowship Saturday, February 22nd, 8:30 – 9:30 a.m. at Haliburton UC.  Come and enjoy a hearty breakfast of bacon and eggs.  All men are welcome.

St. George’s Anglican Church – 81st Annual Pancake Supper; Tuesday, February 25 at the Haliburton Legion 5 pm – 7 pm; No Charge – Gluten-free available. Free-Will donations to support Places for People gratefully accepted.

Haliburton UC

ATTENTION Coffee Drinkers: Mary is going to be away for a period of time. A sign-up sheet has been posted in the foyer on the bulletin board for volunteers to make the coffee prior to the service. Please sign up if you enjoy the morning coffee!

Pot Luck Lunch: We will be having Pot Luck Lunch on Sunday, February 23. Everyone is welcome. Help is needed with cleanup. Thanks.

Stewardship and Mission Offering: The extra monthly Mission for February is Effect Hope (Leprosy Mission). We thank you for your support and ask that you mark your envelope when giving to this extra mission. Take note of the Stewardship and Mission bulletin board in the foyer. Information will be posted as it becomes available.

Bible studies:

For a time of study, prayer and fellowship, please join us:

• Wednesday Morning Bible Study in the library 10 – 11:30 a.m.
• Fridays: Women to Women Bible Study in the library from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. All women are welcome to join us at any time. For info call the office 705-457-1891.

Library: The library is open during office hours except when being used for meetings. The librarian is available Fridays from 10 to 11:30 a.m. to help in choosing a book, DVD or teaching material (holidays excluded).

Coffee is available every Sunday before church in the foyer outside of the Fellowship Room.  All are welcome to partake and enjoy!

Prayer List: A few copies of the prayer list will be printed and put on the black table / desk in foyer for anyone who wishes to take it home to pray over. The copies will be there on Sunday only.
