October is Clergy Appreciation Month: Some suggestions you might want to act on:

• • Pray for your minister and those in church leadership
  • Ask your minister why they went into ministry and what they love about it.
  • Write a thank you card, email or letter of appreciation
  • Invite a minister or other church leaders out for coffee

Trunk or Treat a family friendly trick or treating fun time Thursday, October 31st 6:00 pm at municipal parking lot across from Lakeside Church. Decorated cars and candy for the kiddos

Please join us on Sunday December 1st for a joint service for the Pastoral Charge at Haliburton United Church at 10:30 a.m. to celebrate the 1^st Sunday of Advent.  Communion will be served.  This will be an opportunity for all 3 churches to worship together and get to know one another a little better. Lunch will be served following the service.

Ingoldsby UC

Haliburton UC

Pot Luck Lunch today following the service. Please join us. Help is needed with clean up. Thanks.

Today after fellowship (about 1:45 p.m.),  there will be a demonstration on how to use our new defibrillator. All are welcome to come and learn about this.

Prayer List: A few copies of the prayer list will be printed and put on the black table / desk in foyer for anyone who wishes to take it home to pray over. The copies will be there on Sunday only.

To welcome children to our regular Sunday family worship we are providing children’s pew bags containing stories and activities to enjoy during the regular service time. These are available in the foyer for children and/or parents to choose from. Each bag also includes a gift book for you to take home. Please return your bag to the basket as you leave. Your presence is a blessing to us.

Stewardship and Mission Offering:  The extra monthly Mission for November is Youth Unlimited. We thank you for your support and ask that you mark your envelope when giving to this extra mission. Take note of the Stewardship and Mission bulletin board in the foyer. Information will be posted as it becomes available.

Bible studies:

For a time of study, prayer and fellowship, please join us:

• Wednesday Morning Bible Study in the library 10 – 11:30 a.m.
• Fridays: Women to Women Bible Study in the library from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. All women are welcome to join us at any time. For info call the office 705-457-1891.

Library: The library is open during office hours except when being used for meetings. The librarian is available Fridays from 10 to 11:30 a.m. to help in choosing a book, DVD or teaching material (holidays excluded).

Coffee is available every Sunday before church in the foyer outside of the Fellowship Room.  All are welcome to partake and enjoy!
