Hurricane Dorian, a powerful category 5 hurricane, landed in the Bahamas in early September 2019 and left a trail of destruction. The slow-moving storm destroyed thousands of homes and left approximately 60,000 people without shelter. You can donate by cheque through your treasurer. Please mark “Emergency Response – Caribbean Relief (Dorian)” on your cheque. You can also go to the United Church of Canada website and donate online.
The Official Board of the Haliburton Pastoral Charge will meet on Thursday, September 19 at Ingoldsby UC at 2 pm. If you receive the minutes, you are a member of this board and are encouraged to come out and help make important decisions for the Pastoral Charge. Thank you.
The Haliburton Ministerial is hosting a 1-day training opportunity Saturday September 21st at Lakeside Church, 9 Park Street, Haliburton. “Have you ever asked God to help you share your faith?” Brody Haight is a Canadian Coach and International Trip Leader with e3 Partners and I Am Second Ministries. Brody and his wife Deidre help to train people how to share the good news of Christ here and abroad. Coffee 8 – 9; Training 9 – 12; Lunch 12 – 1 ($10.); Ministry in the Village 1 – 4. Fall Fundraiser for the Pregnancy Care & Family Support Centre Saturday, September 21st 7:00 – 9:00 pm at Lakeside Church. Celtic Gospel Music from Lakefield, Ontario “Rhythm & Grace”; vibrant fiddling, energetic step-dancing, dynamic gospel and folk songs. Free will offering.

Stewardship and Mission Offering: The extra monthly Mission for September is Mercy Ships. We thank you for your support and ask that you mark your envelope when giving to this extra mission. Take note of the Stewardship and Mission bulletin board in the foyer. Information will be posted as it becomes available.

- Wednesday Morning Bible Study in the library 10 – 11:30 a.m.
- Fridays: Women to Women Bible Study in the library from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. All women are welcome to join us at any time. For info call the office 705-457-1891.
Library: The library is open during office hours except when being used for meetings. The librarian is available Fridays from 10 to 11:30 a.m. to help in choosing a book, DVD or teaching material (holidays excluded).
Coffee is available every Sunday before church in the foyer outside of the Fellowship Room. All are welcome to partake and enjoy!
