The Haliburton Pastoral Charge is looking for a volunteer graphic designer to provide images for a variety of uses.

This is an ideal position with a very manageable workload for retirees, hobbyists and students. Students also gain community service hours and a valuable addition to their resumes.

Description:

• The volunteer creates images that illustrate and draw interest to events and information from the Pastoral Charge and Haliburton United Church to help support growth and community outreach
• The volunteer works with the Minister and the Administrative Assistant
• Hours vary; the current estimate is 1-2 hours per week in total for regular tasks and rarely more than five hours per week
• Fully remote – the volunteer will work offsite with their own device
• This position is eligible for secondary school community service hours

Responsibilities:

• Create visual content as needed, including:
  • Slides for the weekly news and events announcements, which are shown at Haliburton United Church during the Sunday service that is live-streamed through YouTube
  • Two websites – haliburtonpastoralcharge.com (Haliburton Pastoral Charge) and haliburtonuc.com (Haliburton United Church)
• The volunteer is welcome to use a design service such as Canva Pro so long as all rights are obtained before the images are used

• Basic graphic design skills
