Saturday, October 26

The 9th Annual Share the Warmth event operated by SIRCH Community Services. The Haliburton winter gear giveaway will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the SIRCH Bistro & Marketplace. As an appreciation to all giveaway participants, SIRCH will hold a draw at the end of the event for a chance to win a $20 gift card for each location.

Saturday, November 9

Fundraising concert to help build Youth Unlimited’s “The Bridge Youth Centre“, hosted by Lakeside Church in Haliburton. Doors open at 1 p.m. The concert featuring local artists begins at 2 p.m. Also featuring a loonie auction, fresh baking and local maple syrup. Tickets are $20 per person, $50 per family. Remembrance Sunday. Haliburton United Church elders invite everyone to bring photos of family members who served in the armed forces and share their stories.

Sunday, November 17

Gospel singalong from 10:30 to 11:00 a.m. at Haliburton UC. Join in for another way to praise and worship. Held monthly on the third Sunday.

Current Events and Notices

Tax receipts for donations: Thank you for giving toward the ministries of the churches in the Haliburton Pastoral Charge. To ensure you receive a tax receipt for your giving each year, please remember to include your full mailing address with your FIRST donation so we can properly establish a receipt file for you. If you have not yet provided your address, please contact the church office at 705-457-1891 as soon as possible. Tax receipts are issued in the new year.

The Haliburton UC monthly mission for October is Friends Peterborough. For details and to learn how to donate, visit the church’s Monthly Missions web page.

Sundays: Regular services at both churches and online via live stream on YouTube at 11:15 a.m.

Sunday School: Children’s Service (aka Sunday School): Services are held on the first Sunday of the month at 9 a.m. at Haliburton United Church. For more information call the church office at 705-457-1891. Also, a selection of lessons and interactive materials is posted on the Sunday School web page for downloading for use at home to encourage kids in their faith.

Tuesdays: Minds in Motion from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at Haliburton UC. This Alzheimer’s Society program is designed to provide physical activity and mental and social stimulation. $30/couple for 8 weeks. Call Jennifer at 705-748-5131 x225.

Tuesdays: The Ecumenical Bible Study is on break.

Wednesdays: The group meets at 3:00 p.m. via Zoom on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month. For details call 705-457-7282.
