May
May is Manse Month for the Haliburton Pastoral Charge. The upkeep of the manse is the responsibility of all churches in the charge, and each year in May, the Manse Committee asks church members to prayerfully consider contributing to the manse account to support repairs.
May 12 – June 16
Formula for Success Baby Bottle Campaign. This annual fundraiser for the Pregnancy Care and Family Support Centre runs from Mother’s Day to Father’s Day. The PCFSC is 100% donor-supported and has seen proof that “Your $$ + PCFSC = Changed Lives.” To donate you can pick up a baby bottle at Haliburton UC and fill it or use a cheque or EFT (electronic funds transfer) or use your credit card online via the PCFSC website at haliburtonpregnancycentre.ca. Filled bottles are accepted all year long.
Sunday, May 19
Pentecost Sunday – Gospel Singing and Communion Services. Lochlin UC’s service begins at 10:00 a.m. At Haliburton UC, singing begins at 10:30 a.m. The service begins at 11:15 a.m. and will be live streamed on YouTube. Those watching online are invited to join in by having bread and wine or juice on hand.

Contemporary Service and Pot Luck Lunch at Haliburton UC. The lunch follows the 11:15 a.m. service.
Sunday, June 2
Children’s Service (aka Sunday School): Services are held on the first Sunday of the month at 9 a.m. at Haliburton United Church. For more information call the church office at 705-457-1891.

Sundays: Regular services at both churches and online via live stream on YouTube at 11:15 a.m.
Sunday School: Children’s Service (aka Sunday School): Services are held on the first Sunday of the month at 9 a.m. at Haliburton United Church. For more information call the church office at 705-457-1891. Also, a selection of lessons and interactive materials is posted on the Sunday School web page for downloading for use at home to encourage kids in their faith.
Tuesdays: Minds in Motion from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at Haliburton UC. This Alzheimer’s Society program is designed to provide physical activity and mental and social stimulation. $30/couple for 8 weeks. Call Jennifer at 705-748-5131 x225.
Tuesdays: The Ecumenical Bible Study group meets from 7:00 to 8:00 pm on Zoom using the simple Ignatius method of reading and praying with the scripture. If you would be interested in joining the group online, let Jean Tyler know by calling 705-457-2214.
Wednesdays: Women to Women Bible Study. The group meets online at 3:00 p.m. on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month via Zoom. The May 22 meeting is cancelled. The June 5 meeting will be the last until fall. For more information email Lisa.
