Tuesday, January 23: Grieving with God Bible Study begins. This nine-week program will be held Tuesdays from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at West Guilford Baptist Church. For more information contact Pat Hardy at 705-286-3635.

Saturday, January 27: Inspiring Creativity & Empowering Change Conference hosted by Aging Together as Community from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Pinestone Resort, Haliburton. Keynote speakers on topics such as “Putting Life into Years”, a panel discussion and service provider displays. Lunch will be provided. No admission fee. Sunday, January 28: Annual General Meeting and Pot Luck Lunch following the 11:15 a.m. contemporary service. Those unable to attend the meeting in person can attend via Zoom (video or phone). Zoom access opens at 12:45 p.m. and the meeting will begin at 1 p.m. Details will be emailed or call the office at 705-457-1891 during regular business hours.

Current Events and Notices

Monthly mission for January for Haliburton UC: Food for Kids. For details and to learn how to donate, visit the Monthly Missions page on the HUC website.

Sundays: Regular services at all churches and online via live stream on YouTube at 11:15 a.m.

Tuesdays: Minds in Motion from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. (NOTE time change) at Haliburton UC. The group is on break for the holidays. This Alzheimer’s Society program is designed to provide physical activity and mental and social stimulation. $30/couple for 8 weeks. Call Jennifer at 705-748-5131 x225.

Tuesdays: The Ecumenical Bible Study group is on hiatus until January 9. The group meets from 7:00 to 8:00 pm on Zoom using the simple Ignacious method of reading and praying with the scripture. If you would be interested in joining the group online, let Jean Tyler know by calling 705-457-2214.

Wednesdays: Women to Women Bible Study. The group meets online at 3:00 p.m. on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month via Zoom. The group has paused for the holiday season and will resume meetings on January 24. For more information email Lisa.

Sunday School: A selection of lessons and interactive materials is available for download on the Sunday School page for use at home to encourage kids in their faith. Classes are on hiatus.
