Events List

Sunday, December 8 at Haliburton UC: Family Christmas / White Gift Service. Luncheon of soup and rolls follows. Please bring unwrapped toys or other items for tweens and teens, non-perishable food items or even money for the Haliburton 4Cs to help with their Christmas hampers. The “white gift” tradition began in 1903 when a small Methodist congregation gave white-covered gifts to people in need. The gifts were wrapped to ensure anonymity and so that they could be appreciated equally. Today we’re asked to leave items unwrapped to help 4Cs volunteers distribute them appropriately.
